Ustream Live Show say What!

I have decided I am going to tackle the realm of live shows. Starting next month I will be producing a Live Show for all to watch that will be about an hour long and will have nothing to do with my flight journey. What it will be focused on is Pilots and Aviation in general. I plan to have guests on the show that come from all walks of aviation. The most important part of the show is the audience, this means that during the show all people watching will be able to call us via Skype and the guest or I will answer any questions you have about what we were talking about.

With it being live there will be mess ups, ummmsss, and many other hiccups throughout the show but that just comes with practice and it being live and real. So please make sure to look out for that.

    Hi Ian,
My name is Connall and I live in Scotland, you might remember me from Joe's live broadcasts as I go by the user name "Irishrover63". I have just read your very interesting blog from the start and how evious am I. I wish I could turn the clock back and start over again as I have always had a burning ambition to be a pilot, but financing it was always going to be a problem as we would be going back to the early 80's and flying lessons were only the luxury of the "haves" not the "have nots". Now with 3 kids getting older, it might just be a possibility, but the idea of a job in aviation is out of the question as I am now 47.
I don't know how much a PPL course in the states comes in at, but here in the U.K. you are looking at around $20,000 and another $120,000 if you wanted to go the commercial route. I recently heard of pilots doing island hopping here getting paid as little as $40,000 per year, that's less than my job pays at the moment and I have no were near the responsability a pilot has.
I await with eager anticipation as to the outcome of your "Check ride" and wish you all the best of luck in your flying career and hope that you follow your dream and don't settle for second best like I did in a job that you just don't like. I would fly for an airline for free in return for tuition.
I also enjoy microsoft flight sim and see that you have joined your local AVSIM, I had a look at this and might just be tempted to give it a try, but don't know if I'm good enough at the moment, keep doing ILS landings as opposed to manual.

    Regards,
    Connall.
p.s. See you on Joe's next broadcast.
  • Thank you, I really hope you follow your dream to becoming a pilot because even though hard, it is worth it. I cant waite to get my private pilot license. Sadly with the weather and some other conflicts I have been set back but fully expect to have my licensed in June. I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog, glad people actually pay attention to my blog. Other than that stay tuned for my next podcast coming up soon, and my ustream live show in june as well.

    Until Next Time,
    Pilot Ian
