About Me

When I was little like most pilots I loved airplanes and playing with little toy planes. I took my first flight when I was very young, I  about 6 and I can still remember it.  Then after 9/11,  I got pretty spooked of flying and lost the love of it for a little while. Then I grew older and more wiser and soon become more enthused with aviation again. Five years ago while on a Canada trip with a family friend from Cleveland we started to talk about flying, he had his license and I thought that would be something I would love to do. So even though I was still young we started calling flight schools but never followed through with it. Then finally the summer 2009 at the county fair there was a booth up for the flight school that was at my local airport. Then in October 2009 I took my first lesson and here I am now and I am loving every minute of  it. My mission from day one was to share my aviation experiences with the web, people I meet, and other pilots in hopes that from my mistakes, my experiences, and my success that others will have the determination to take a leap of faith and begin their dream of becoming a pilot.

A quote I live by is this: “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.”

If you never become a pilot, you will never achieve your true dreams unless you get out there and take a risk and TRY!

Hey, that’s pretty cool.  I’m a pilot it in the regional arena and I do love the job.  It doesn’t pay very well at first, but so long as you don’t rack up a bunch of debt, it’s not bad.  What seems to determine whether people are happy with this job is attitude and perspective.  Don’t be afraid to enjoy your job when you get hired, and when you have to do things like “ready reserve” use perspective and compare it to other jobs and you’ll find it’s not so bad.  You seem like you have just the kind of attitude that makes a good airline pilot, so work hard and good luck!
